Domainer’s party at the October fest in the Käferzelt by Andreas Conrad
Hello dear Domainer, We are happy that the Domainer’s Club-October fest in the Kaferzelt had a good turn-out and thank you for all the positive feed back which we received via e-mail and in the forum at www.consultdomain.de etc..
We were lucky because on September 30th was the so called Kings day. The visitors enjoying the 23°C weather and the Bavarian blue sky’s.
Edmund Stoiber with his wife and escort, as well as the complete team of the FC Bavaria were next to us enjoying themselves which was a extra bit of fun for some of the Domainer’s. As Stefan wrote so nicely in the forum: That FC Bavaria seemed to register a bit late for the event they got a table next to ours...
Our day began about 11.30 a.m. in the Bräuhaus zum Bavaria , 5 minutes on foot from theKäfer tent, were we started off with veal sausages for breakfast or what what you wanted to eat. As we had hoped the Domainer’s trickled in slowly and after a hearty early Bavarian start, we all went together at about 3:00p.m. to the party tent.
The Domainer’s that wore their polo shirts were noticed right away and every one looked at them and thought, ”what is the DomainersClub for a group?” When were reach the Käfer tent there was a huge crowd of people trying to get into the tent. And this you need to see to believe it. We had the feeling that we would not get in because there were so many people. As we found out later this crowd of people was due to the fact that there were celebrities and other well known people that everyone wanted to get a glimpse of. Plus, numerous young people wanted to get an autograph from their favourite FC Bavaria football idol, but it could be seen that they too many have drank a bit to much and ad problems with the pen.
After fighting out way through the tent the Domainer’s were more impressed with our VIP-corner that was set-up for us. The starters were there and the security people barred off their area, so that no one could come into this area. This was not because of the Domainern’s ;-), but because of the politicians and the FC-Bavaria team, that was sitting directly next to us.
We had to manage a 3 course menu besides the beer, e.g shandy’s that were drunk, too. Also, between the songs we could go out onto the sun terrace to get a breath of fresh air even though we were right next to a window. But, we could not complain about the air inside the tent. Below the sun terrace were fans waiting to see a celebrity, so the could take a picture of them with their digital camera. But, the Domainer’s did not trust themselves enough to do that and the dozens of people waiting to get an autograph.
Our club looked good too and as mentioned before (all most Domainer<#s wore their DomainersClub-Polo shirt; which had some advantages, i.e. people noticed us and showed an interest; besides thinking “What/Who is the DomainersClub?” And the security personnel recognized our polo shirts, so we could get back into the VIP area.After a lovely 3 course meal some of the Domainer’s left early for the city centre of Munich, while others stayed late inot the nightin the Käfer garden tent. We too left early because we were tired and had gotten up at 3:00a.m. and drove 700 km to get to Munich that day and the next day we must drive another 700 km to get back home.
We think on the whole that this was a really great event and we had lots of fun. We are sure that next year we will all travel together again to the October Fest; which we spoke previously about. The most important thing is to register early, because we use the first come first serve method. Naturally, taking into consideration when you registered and have you paid or not.
A couple of participants have asked whether ore not if we could wear a black shirt with DomainerClub-logo, instead of the dark blue polo shirt. These we could wear again to the next event. So when you register please include your shirt, so we can order the correct size for you.
Ideally would be when you would wear black trousers,because that would look good with a quality black shirt creating a well dressed look fort he Domainer’s. In other words we are looking forward to all the other up coming events too besides the October fest.
