Traffic-Conference in Las Vegas / USA 2007
A short report by Andreas Conrad:
Firstly said: For myself an many other Domainer’s it was an event were you did not miss much if you didn’t attend. Poorly organized to say the least. The black line between the white line I should have seen coming after the Traffic-Conference in Miami which has ended was better organized.
Plus I think enough beverages belong to an event of this calibre. Another point was that you had to pay 2,000.00 US-Dollar per person to participate and there were about 20 chairs and theoretically 500 people could have attended it they wanted too.
The hotel The Venetian was not appropriate for the venue. From a suite to the conference room you had to walk about 15 minute to get there and every door lead to the casino.
That’s how it is if you have a couple of bucks in your pocket. For some this was great an event with a casino in the same building. The event self was poorly organized.
As said: The value is on the participation fee that could have been played on a colour at the Roulette table¦ .Traffic-Conference was double so expensive for me or it did not cost me a thing. So, what should I say?: The good have won - a couple of you know who that is - the small unknown person in our scene.
Because the conference was not so good, I will keep it short and leave the rest up to the forum discussion where you can discuss this topic in depth. Another point is that the organizer of the event may have received some negative feed back.
I will not be at the next Traffic-Conference in New York and wait for the event from Sedo and finally to Domain sponsor’s ,e.g .fly to the Icann-Meeting. In reference to the Traffic New York, if any of you were there and would like to write a few words about it.
